Figure Eight is a small craft brewery and pub situated in the city of Valparaiso (Vale Of Paradise) Indiana about 60 miles south and east of Chicago.
Figure 8 Brewing makes a variety of beers for your enjoyment.
Some of my favorites are:
Bourbon barrel aged Black Corridor Imperial Chocolate Stout – 12% ABV:
If like rich chocolate cake than this beer is the closest liquid equivalent.
Lost Saint Belgian style Saison – 6.5% ABV:
A very light summery beer for when you don’t want bitter hops from an IPA.
Oktoberfest Marzen style Lager – 6.5% ABV:
One of the best fall/Oktoberfest style beers I have had. Great for sitting on the porch as the autumn leaves drift down.
Pirate’s Pils Bavarian style Pilsner – 5.75 %ABV:
If your tastes tend to lean towards more domestic beer offerings than this is the beer for you. Close to Budweiser, but with much more flavor.
Ro Shampo Imperial Red Ale – 7.5% ABV:
It’s a bit like Killian’s, but much more flavorful and higher abv means you probably won’t have to drink a ton of them.
Raven Tor Oatmeal Stout – 5.5% ABV:
Spending a cold winter evening at home with your partner? Then you both may want to have some of this smooth, but potent brew while the fireplace roars or as Netflix asks if you’re still watching.
Each of these brews should be enjoyed on a case by case basis. They do also make a double IPA called Snake Pro, but compared to New Belgium’s Voodoo Ranger Imperial (review coming soon!) I didn’t care for it. It is more bitter than citrus flavor to my taste, but I suggest anyone try their offerings first and not just go with my tastes
